The model of a random white-cube gallery corner is a symbol of a traditional exhibition space. The concept of the project is to make momentary exhibitions in various places (nature, city, etc.). The metaphor of the white-cube helps to highlight being in it and out of it at the same time. The title chosen for the mini-gallery – “Don’t Cry” – creates a shy and slightly aggressive mood for a whole idea. Depending on a momentary place/space, for example – by the river, in the corner – the title creates a scene of encouragement, like Don’t Cry By The River or Don’t Cry In The Corner.
The project goes on and continues with new ideas. Don’t cry if you don’t fit in a normal gallery space, maybe you have some stunning images ant want to make an exhibition in a tree or where ever… Mini-gallery “Don’t Cry” is open for Your ideas. |

MINITALAS
by Algirdas Stonis a.k.a. Kupriukas – opening 2024-01-18 in Klaipėda, LT
About the exhibition:
Metal forms – familiar to the eye, most commonly used in construction or metal scrapyards – continue to fascinate to this day. A large portion of the created works by @kupriukas are products made from reinforcement bars (most commonly used as wall decorations). Up close – industrial chaos, from afar – an image. The aim of the "Minitalas" exhibition is to replicate existing works, accepting the challenge of making them proportionally small.
This resulted in the creation of these 3 wall decorations and 2 sculptures:
On the wall:
Two Illusions – two quite easy recognizable geometrical shapes, though breaking the eye or head (scaled down 2017 works 96 x 55 and 74 x 74 cm).
"Paper plane" – could be light if made out of paper, but not likely when constructed from the reinforcement bars (based on the 2018 original measuring 55 x 25 cm).
Sculptures:
"Little Monday" – is a productivity scale according to the days of the week, describing our attitude towards work. Applicable only to those who work in jobs they hate. For everyone else, it's a playful view of the labor week (created based on the 2023 original 130 x 80 x 25 cm – 110 kg).
"Rocket" – some rise high, while others, trying to ascend, end up exploding. In 2017 "weed" criminalization law brought no benefit. Additional workloads burden courts, police officers. Young people receiving a conviction lose their way to job positions or services where convictions are taken into account. The top of the sculpture – a shiny joint, carrying political points for a populists who discuss outdated themes while disregarding global practice. The base of this sculpture – a rusted prison, which is dreadful, heavy, and immovable (created based on the 160 x 60 cm, 70 kg original).

PARTS OF THE BODIES
| BY ELENA ANTANAVIČIŪTĖ |
Elena Antanavičiūtė "Parts of the Bodies". In my paintings, I depict the body from various perspectives. Small, natural-sized fragmented pieces allow a different view of the body – as a collection of seemingly insignificant pieces that together form the most complex thing – the human body.
Small paintings portraying body parts were displayed in a chessboard, while some, transformed into refrigerator magnets, became the main works in the "Neverk" mini gallery. I have also included inherited breast prostheses in the exhibition.
Here's the whole story: Golden Teeth and Silicone Breasts
While moving the apartment of deceased grandparents (father's parents), I found golden teeth. More precisely, I found a jewelry box with Eastern motifs. The box was adorned with bas-reliefs of people dressed in kimono – I don't know if they were made of plastic, ivory, or ceramics. In the jewelry box, I found a film roll box containing golden teeth. I don't know if they belonged to grandfather, grandmother, or were just gold reserves.
Later, after the death of another grandmother (mother's mother), my mom suggested taking her silicone breast prostheses since my final project at the academy was about the body. On my table, I laid out five breast prostheses, each of different size and shape. Two were completely unused, still in their packaging – one in a transparent bag, the other with its original box. The box, of course, was pink, with the inscription "Guostė: Additional Breast." Whether the breasts were chosen based on the grandmother's body composition at the time or were just what happened to be available, even their shapes, not just sizes, differed. I weighed which prosthesis resembled my breasts the most. I stored the silicone breasts in a box to prevent them from dust. Then placed them under the table next to unused étui and a cushion disliked by the cats. Soon after, a sixth breast prosthesis was found in the garden shed.
Now, three years later, I have thought of a purpose for the artificial breasts. Prostheses remind me of some of my works depicting individual body parts. They also make me think that they were intended for a body whose genes also make up my body.
The exhibition: November 21, 2023 - January 05, 2024

Don't cry – you rock!
Yaga gathering 2023 | XX trips around the sun
Mini-gallery "Neverk" presents an installation called "Don't cry - you rock". A miniature interior created with faux stone is an illusion of a staged adaptation in nature. The desire to find middle ground in the digitized world between what is comfortable and timeless and what is forced and adjusted... The attraction that invites us from the city to immerse ourselves in thr rhythm of nature is the harmony within ourselves and with the environment than we constantly seek. The scene that appeared in the stone seeks tranquility, harmony, and integration with nature, being a part of it in the Yaga cozy forest.
Migrating exposition in the mini-gallery "DON'T CRY"!
Exhibits in the gallery are street art sketches and at the same time will become portable elements - brooches. Since Christmas'22 I have been making small exhibits like an elf myself, selling them and giving them to people. It's time to show Klaipėda (port city in Lithuania) to them and Klaipėda to see them. If you don't go to the galleries, I'll bring it to you. 8 exhibits. Not related to each other. Don't look for anything deep here. They will run away from here soon anyway. "Beyboks" were frolicking. Mauser squirmed. The parade continues. A fly spins around the lamp. The camera monitors - there is traffic (a car accident). The zombie was supposed to be a toilet flush button - but it didn't fit. Amen.

"Monologue" - how do strange phenomena work?... such as memories or associations? Associative feelings stimulate the activity of the human brain - it allows You to fantasize and interpret, without an instinctive and sudden reaction. Makes You move towards independent analysis. Associations give time to generate thoughts and attempt to recover memories. Ej! Allows you to experience a luxurious time. Decomposition, disintegration - as the emergence of a new form? The exhibition "Monologue" by Eglė Gudonytė is a continuation of the "Naudinga.Nuodinga" project. A project about relationship between nature and men.

LINEARv2 – is a retrospective mini-exhibition based on the motives of the first personal exhibition (19.05.2013). This exhibition consists of mini-copies of archival photographs of Vidas Žudys transformed into stencils, printed with a thermal printer.
Copies copy copies, a linear narrative continues, archives, narratives and discourses are revisited. At the center of the exhibition is a root carved into a plastic matrix, a metaphor for alchemical █████ (?! ;xo)

Solo show “Don`t Cry, this too shall melt: Comic Sans tale”
The name of the mini gallery "Don`t cry" made me remember a sad story of my creative life. So it is time to tell the tale. Maybe it happened or maybe did not. A long time ago, more than a decade, the only Post Office of Lithuania issued two postage stamps dedicated to St. Christmas and New Year. In one postage stamp featured a Snowman catching a falling snowflake; in the other, the same snowflake, only highly enlarged. You might say, the plot is very ordinary for such an occasion. However, some Shameless Soul dared to use Comic Sans* type font for the mandatory text in the stamps! Unseen sensation and a terrible crime! A whirlwind arose, the gates of hell opened. All the competent and professional Cockroaches on Face Earth joined the fight, attacked the poor Shameless Soul who dared to commit such a terrible crime! Professionals roared, had fun stomping their feet, beating their chests. Comic Sans – in the stamps of the only Post Office of Lithuania! It cannot be forgiven! No way! Time passed, Shameless Soul survived. She didn`t choose to go into the cave, though she considered such a possibility. Shameless Soul give up making postage stamps long time ago, but She still dares to use the Comic Sans type font in her art. I am ending this tale, there will be no moral. No, sorry, this solo show is my moral. This exhibition is constructed to this poignant story and the Comic Sans type font. Telling this story and making a parody out of it is my liberation and release! I consider this mini-show as a contemporary art show. My mind is always in the Future, I dare to think what if Comic Sans type font will become a new retro-chic, just as we now admire the fashion and style of the 80s or 90s. Pure truth is mixed with a lot of extraneous things. There was no pure truth, there is not and there won’t be. Time is powerful, Almighty, like in one old Lithuanian song. After all, bad things can become part of an art work and be much more interesting than those "correct" choices. You cannot grow carrots in a
vacuum. They need black soil, clay, water and shit. The same goes for Art.
*Note: Comic Sans is considered an informal font that is mostly used in entertainment or informal
settings. However, using this font in professional and formal situations can provoke negative reactions
and cast doubt on your competence. It is recommended to use formal and professional fonts such as
Times New Roman or Arial.
