Once upon a time Someone told me something about the "Painter's muscle" - that there is such muscle that only painters have it. It is quite logical and quite true I guess. Sometimes while painting I feel a heat in the upper part of the arm - this is normal that the arm gets tired. But now I truly believe that it is the magical painting muscle heating :) And I feel so special, that only "us" (painters) have it... Of course there are other muscles out there, that no painter can ever have... like... pianists muscle, drivers muscle, etc.
But this story should be about the Paint's muscle. So.
PAINT'S MUSCLE
I haven't heard anything about this, so I can't tell a clever story now.. Anyway.
The Paint couldn't have any muscle unless he is alive, right? So, yes! - HE IS ALIVE :)
This is what I'm trying to convey. This is what I'm trying to visualize.
I chose the FACE - as the most recognizable thing of a human. Maybe I could have chosen hands... But well, maybe the hands will be in the next one. Although here I try to paint the muscle of a painting... here starts the "not knowing" thing. The same problem is with the visualization of Aliens. Only few movies has some interesting creations (5th element, The Alien, few more) But in general all the aliens look alike in "our" mind - well, similar to humans - with a head, 4 endings, big eyes, skin, walking on 2, etc. BOOOOOOORING
SO:
I paint the painting: HOW TO PAINT THE MUSCLES OF THE PAINTING??? i thought about the abstract painting, but then this would not be enough for the visual impact. Maybe a bit boring decision... in the way of choosing the human head muscles.. anyway. The head - is a completely recognizable object - what can obviously make the subject visually understandable. so:
These pictures are taken in different stages of the process. This is important for me - here are sooo many layers, so much paint - it weights a LOT. I wonder how much more can the canvas take. Yes it's all "oil on canvas"... nothing more...
The creativity steps. The good ones, the bad ones, the ugly ones... All to the finish :)
To be continued!!!
(I am sorry for showing this, but I couldn't resist)
